We are currently seeking a qualified Industrial Prepper & Painter to join our TK Truck Body team.

The successful candidate for this position will be an important and valued contributor to our Team. Our customers will depend on your ongoing commitment to their service needs, on your expertise, and on your prepping and painting skills to keep their equipment looking professional. You will possess strong organizational skills, a positive team-focused attitude, exceptional service and communication skills (verbal and written), the ability to manage multiple schedules at once, and the ability to work independently while providing consistent high-quality detailed work.

JOB SUMMARY

As an Industrial Painter, you will provide outstanding service to customers across Western Canada. To execute the highest level of service, you will use your expert trouble shooting skills, diagnostic tooling, manuals and schematics to maintain our customers’ uptime and profitability.

This position is based in Edmonton, Alberta. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Preparation and Painting of aluminum Service Bodies and aluminum Van Bodies.
• Preparation and Painting of Service Body and Van Body Parts. 
• Prep and Painting of various service and repair jobs both steel and aluminum.
• Daily/Weekly Maintenance of all paint booth and area equipment.
• Effective communication with coworkers via phone, email, and face-to-face.  
• Maximize efficiency and productivity of customer service.  
• Work with Operations Manager to prepare and stage parts required for daily service work. 
• Accurately document work activities by completing work orders for each job, maintenance checklists, and daily time sheets.
• Conduct safety hazard assessments for continuously changing working environments.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Mechanical and technical aptitude with industrial paint, equipment and tooling are key qualifications for this position.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, performing consistent, high-quality and detailed work. 
• Diligently practice Safe Working Habits and follow company Safety Program.
• An understanding of basic inventory, purchase order and invoicing systems. 
• Strong estimating and administrative experience are considered an asset.
• Successful candidate must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check. 
• High school diploma. (Post-secondary and/or related technical training and experience preferred.)
• Must be currently eligible to work in Alberta.
